Default Another deja vu moment....I have been here before

Took another drive today, but in light rain, during my lunch break at the Georgetown store. I came down this hill and I thought, I have seen these buildings before and then came to the falls and I knew exactly where I was but had come to this spot from Lexington and not from Georgetown....I had not been there in years.....This is the North Elkhorn creek, the same creek I took pictures of yesterday and posted but a few miles further down the road. This creek wanders all over the place.

It was raining some and beginning to get stronger so I quickly hopped down to the bridge and leaned against the bridge rail in order to steady the camera for the longer exposures.....

A shot taken on the way back to the store.....only barn that I have seen with wreaths on them

Patrick, another wonderful set! The water over the dam photos are beautiful -- the second one is particularly fascinating with the stairstep effect. And the last is wonderful too -- the wreaths make that barn such a welcoming place! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Love the different softness of the water as it flows over the falls in the second shot. Another great set Patrick.

Hiyas Patrick, Nice job shooting the falls handheld. I really like how you showed the different views... the second photo really does it for me. Really nice exposure on all 3.

And the barn shot with the wreaths is a great " stop the car and take a quick one " I'm sure the red is what caught your eye.. well worth capturing it, very festive

Vin

I love your water captures Patrick, absolutely lovely! And the barn shot with the garlands is gorgeous - very simple but beautifully composed.

I was somewhat surprised that they turned out not only handheld but with no ND filter...lucky me

Nice shots Patrick. I like the silky effect. I have managed to do that with film and a polarizing filter, but making it happen with digital eludes me so far plus I haven't been around many falls in order to take the shot. TFS
