Default Portsmouth NH: The harbor area

I'm not done with Monterey yet, but today I'm taking you all back in time to Thanksgiving! Still haven't quite finished fiddling with my pics from my NH trip that weekend, but here are some random shots from around Portsmouth Harbor:

Memorial Bridge, over the Piscataqua River. Connects New Hampshire & Maine:

The view across the river towards Portsmouth's Naval Shipyard as sunset approached:

The old Portsmouth Naval Prison. I'm just fascinated by it for no apparent reason - maybe because I can't get closer!

The composition in the first shot is great with the bridge in the background and the pontoons in front. Good job!

Hi Nikki! Those are gorgeous photos. You are the reflection master, in my book! The first one is stunning in it's stark simplicity, and the last one because of it's colorful boats. I can't wait to see your stuff from Monterey. A little warmer there than here, these days!

Nicky you sure have a knack for capturing good reflections off the water, good ones! I find the Navy prison interesting, is that just for the navy use or public also?

Great Nicky. Love No 4. theres something about the character of a working vessell over a pleasure vessell that makes them far more photogenic and full of character, which in No 4 is well captured. Love them all. PAUL
