Cheers to Paul.

I recently posted this as a response to Paul's aka Bradzo's posting of his latest equipment purchase. If you havent visited his stream or seen some of his photography and like HDR cars I would suggest taking a look.

For my taste it overprocessed.I do not like HDR.
The picture is interesting but I personally chose a different angle to do it.

@kgb Thanks In its truest form this is not really not HDR at least not as I understand it which is really in its infancy. In the end if the result is pleasing the eye the its a sucess. This is done with photoshop elements.

@ Daniel Appreciate the comments. I can understand as I certainly wasn't a huge fan initially either. However with time and having viewed several photograpers work I have come to enjoy some of it.

As to the angle I would agree. The photo was taken a while back but you likely would have noticed the car is attached to a trailer and would have had a truck standing front of it. My options were limited but given the opportunity I took what I could get.

@leonashlee HDR otherwise known as High Dynamic Range photography allows one to catch more levels of light in that you shoot multiple photos at different settings and then combine them in a editing program. Some HDR photographers use multiple programs to get the final result and if done well can in my opinion bring about some fantastic results. It may be done with a single photo which I suppose I am attempting to mimic here.

There are many but one of my favorites is Trey Ratcliff known as Stuck in Customs on the internet.

Great work! Very artistic processing. I like the close up perspective of the car. Thanks for the note about Bradzo's stuff too.

Steve - I love it! Not everyone appreciates the "overcooked" HDR stuff, but I like it for it's artistic value. I have a lot of shots that I've saved with varying degrees of HDR processing. Good stuff!

PromQueenSlayer - I am currently using Dynamic-Photo HDR. You can download a trial version HERE. Another very popular program is Photomatix, which you can find HERE.

@ SoxAddict Appreciate the comments. Its always give credit where its due. I have followed Bradzo's stream for a while and really enjoy alot of what he does. He loves to experiment and spurs me on from time to time. He seems to have found a groove though with the HDR.

@PromQueenSlayer I simply slide the sliders until I get the look I am striving for using Photoshop Elements 6. For those really into the HDR scene I commonly see the following software used. They use Photoshop itself, Photomatix, Topaz Adjust, and Noiseware. Check out this site for tons of info and numerous photos.

Oh I should have kept reading. Thanks to CobraNutt. Think he's alsp linked you to some useful stuff.

@CobraNutt Thanks I agree. As said already I think in the end its all a matter of taste.
