While traveling Costa Rican lands again, we bumped into a lovely butterfly farm. I was trying hard with my 55-200 zoom...these creaures were all so beautiful and fragile... the experience was overwhelming, and so was humidity and rain... excuse for the flaws, and just enjoy...
Ok, I caught this last guy the second he was taking off, this is the story behind the blur... Hope you liked them! |

What beauty. I don't think I could ever tire of butterfly shots. I'm nearly hynotized by the intricacy of your first shot--the color, the texture--oh my! I transfixed by the translucent wings of the butterfly in your second shot. Truly just amazing! I can see where you would describe the experience as "overwhelming." Lovely shots!

I haven't noticed you on here for a while Annie...nice to see you here again.
These shots are really lovely...you did well. We had an exhibit of butterflies from different parts of the world..changes location every two months at the botannical gardens and I got shots of some of those then....I certainly recognize that second shot. But as you say, the humidity was unbelievable.

Those are absolutely stunning. What a wonderful thing to experience and photograph. I really love the texture in the first one. They are all superbly composed, too. Thanks for sharing!
