Default Galveston's rocky shore line
This is one of the few places in Galveston where the shore line is rocky and not sandy. The early morning light really brought out the highlights of the rocks and the man gives the scene a sense of scale.

Are these rocks natural are they man made hurricane defenses?

I think they are man made, but I'm not sure.
