Default Stream reflections on my lunch shoot

I am working at a different store for about a month covering for someone who is in training. I am now in Georgetown, KY ; (18 miles north instead of 16 miles east of my home) and so I went driving around looking for whatever...It is still pretty dismal but I came across a stream and was hit with a sudden sense of deja vu. Turns out that I had been there about 15 years ago while doing a plumbing job......so I pulled my car over to the shoulder just like I had done so many years ago.....It is a beautiful creek and would be awesome in the prime of Fall....

Shooting upstream

Shooting the reflection only...something fell from the tree and caused the ripple....I like the added effect

DSC_8093

walking back to the car, I took this shot downstream of this picnic bench in the owner's yard

DSC_8113

This was shot on the way back to the store of a farm house and its barn......there are actually 3 barns out of view...this type of view is fairly typical for this time of year

Wow Patrick, a lovely set! I love the story behind the region too. Stunning reflections. The lighting in your shots is lovely - I love winter light, I must admit. And the rolling countryside of KY is gorgeous whatever the season.

Patrick, these are so wonderful! The reflections are just wonderful -- I love the colors and the light. And I love the farmhouse and barn -- it would be wonderful to see it in the springtime when the trees leaf out and the colors change. Thanks so much for sharing this set with us.

Of course, I like them all but oddly the thing that just draws me in are the shadows falling across the grass near the picnic table and the river. The feel of that scene is just lovely. You sure live in beautiful country. Kentucky is lucky to have you as it's photographer laureat.

These are lovely Patrick, especially the first one. The deepened colours in the reflection really make the picture.

Wonderful set. The reflection in the first shot is amazing. Also, the last shot is really inviting.
