Default Am I any good?!

I use to work with a camera phone and I was always really happy with what I did and now I've got a real camera, I don't know if I'm doing any good or not. Help haha!! Here are some random examples of what I've been doing lately. There's more on flickr obviously.

Hey Soul Sister...

Jenny, you know what? It doesn't matter if you're good now...Keep reading, shooting and sharing and you will become good...as long as you're enjoying yourself...that's what matters. These are not bad shots Jenny...just keeping looking at the different angles you can take all your shots from....take lots of shots and see what looks like the best angle. You are in the perfect place to learn, so DO NOT get discouraged. We all love to help.

You've obviously got an eye for a different angle. As long as you have "an eye" you are half way there. The main thing is reading and learning, lots of practice, and taking lots of shots. DPS is a great place to share and it is also great for motivation to try something new, see what other people are doing, and to get feedback. TFS and have fun!

I have been reading and learning and I rarely put my camera down. I've read just about everything on this site and I'll be in a photography class at school next semester. I do photography because I enjoy it lol so I guess I'm on the right track. I usually like my pictures but I make the mistake of being too hard on myself and comparing myself to other people so I was just wondering what everyone thought of some of my stuff.

we are all hard on ourselves. I know I crave for people's comments - and their appreciation. I've only got right into photography later in life - you can make it a life long passion and take it to where ever you want. I've just finished reading a fabulous book - A Camera, Two Kids and a Camel by Annie Griffiths Belt and how she came into photography and her work with National Geographic - inspirational.
