Default Forget winter - life is a beach

I hate doing this to all you northerners in the doldrums of winter, but it is summer here in Australia - and life is a beach! In Western Australia, we have some of the most spectacular.....in my opinion. Enjoy!

The first two are from Cable Beach, Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. One of our iconic beaches. People flock here during the winter in the south, to soak up the sun. There is an extreme difference from low to high tide. The tide going out leaves these patterns on the sand.

Just just says - life is a beach!

This one is Meelup, which is south of where I live (about an hours drive) and north of the famous Margaret River beaches and wine regions. There are beautiful little bays and sandy beaches and the water is very clear.

This one is further south still - Conspicuous Cliffs - on the south coast where the wind comes direct from Antarctica. I included this couple walking to get some idea of perspective.

Yep, that is so cruel. You got a real mean streak in you Jill. It's snowing outside here in UK and 30 degrees. PAUL

It is so cold and windy here today, this is just what I needed!
Beautiful colors in the sky and the water.

Jill this is the best thing you can be doing for us Northerners with the winter doldrums. Great patterns in the sand, all of these shots are exceptional, bright and warm. Thank you for sharing!
