Hi everyone,
I attended an indoor airshow of sorts this Last Saturday. It was here in Wichita and called the "E-Fly Spectacular". What a great event! There were aircraft from tiny ones with barely 8" wingspans to larger with two feet of span. There were even helicopters and everything was powered by electric motors "fueled" by Lithium-Polymer batteries. There was even a Bart Simpson skateboard flier. It could run along the ground, then leap into the air. There were air ballets and demo flights, but my personal favorite was the "dogfight"! It was a no holds barred knock down flight. It involved 15 or more aircraft launching at once. Then they began to loop, dive, dodge and collide! It was a sort of demolition derby of the air! The last plane flying was declared the winner! Wow, what a great time! Here are just a few of the images I captured. See my flickr page for many more. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yep, he's flying and yep, he's upside down! Hi Wildcat
What great skill you have shown in getting these images at the speed they travel & in difficult conditions. More than matches the skill of the pilots, & I know how hard they are to fly, after several tries! Cheers Glyn
