Default RaNdOm BlAcK & WhItE AnD CoLoUr (OvEr HeRe NiCkY)

Im finding it hard to keep away from the Botanical gardens as there is so much hidden away.
There are so many texture and shape combinations its just seems to be endless, it also means i can explore colour and black/white. Ive also been noticing reflections more recently probably due to all the rain we have had and the large amount of puddles.I thank my friend clive for this as he is responsible for getting me hooked.
thanks
happy Christmas and new year to you all
love and Peace

Oh sure, blame Clive - poor guy isn't even here to defend himself! Hehe! Fab shots Mike, as always I love the great contrast in your B&Ws, and the botanical sails pic is wonderful, I love all the lines & shadows. Cute pic of Clive too - love the reflection there - does he have a glove cover on his lens to match his own fleece jacket? Very fashion-conscious!

And I'm proud to be able to say I've learned a new language this year. "DiZwoLd mAdNeSs". i'M aLmOsT fLuEnT...........

Mike, excellent variety. I love the abstract feel of the Papyrus. Great job!

Hi Mike! Love the mix of different subjects here..the window in the first one served like a frame to that wonderful view outside..the foliage is still clean and crisp despite the distance..i like the shot of Clive and the reflection too..your portraits are always interesting and tell a lot about the person in it..tnx for sharing..

That first one is especially wonderful -- I really love the composition, and it is so effective in B&W. Thanks for sharing this fine set with us!

hi jack
i spent some time on the first shot one of about twenty or so, it was challenging trying to balence up the outside with the inside and getting it square in the frame. It seemed to work better from this angle.
Clive suspected i had taken a photo of him but hes ok with this.Everyone knows him on flickr now because of the hat he wears
thanks for commenting

hi nicky
i totally blame clive hes very inspiring in some ways, but he doesnt think so. I wanted lots of contrast in the first and spent far too long on it really. You know when you have an idea and you cant get it to work?? the answer was to change angles as a full on shot wasnt working.
Clive wears fingerless gloves in blue which matces his jacket and jeans. So the gloves maybe answers a thread you did way back on what to wear in the winter. When i first met him he had his hat on and i thought what the!!! but now its a part of him he would look odd without it.Yup theres lots going on with the sail shot and seems to work better in black and white.
Clive is an ex police detective so he can look after himself even at the ripe old age of 71
thanks again Nicky

hi pj
yup they sure do,.Clive did a reflection shot outside the Ashmolean museum some time back
and i thought he had taken it from underneath through glass paving, it was confusing. You can get some amazing effects from these. We have a lot of flooding here so we do have big ones
cheers again pj
