Default Germany: Chapter 2 - The Sorting....(sigh)

...so, I'm sure you're not surprised that I came home with about 4K pictures. Fortunately, since I'm a mediocre photographer, I get to throw out most of them...leaving me with a manageable few!! LOL

Here are few random shots from my travels...trying to further enhance my artistificationability (the name's, Bush...George Bush!)

While freezing my hinterbacken off, German for 'butt' (I never said I had class!), I took this shot of the hotel sign in the early morning light.
Hotel Sign (1 of 1)

Here's a shot of a statue outside of Munich's town hall in Marienplatz, that very majestic building I showed a few days ago. Not sure who it is, but the detail was amazing.
statue (1 of 1)

Here's a shot of a bridge crossing over a river. I had to get a vertical-going shot of the bridge with the low-lying fog in the background. I have to say, Rheinhard was very accommodating.
Bridge (1 of 1)

...and finally, this little guy. From atop Zugspitze, on the Austrian side. Taken at 24mm, I was only about 2 feet away. I kept inching closer and closer and he just seemed to strike a pose. Just before I fired, he turned his head to my left as if to say, "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille." What a great background!!
Birdie (1 of 1)

Nice work, Jim! The background behind the bird is incredible but it looks way too cold for this desert rat! Thanks for sharing these.

Mike

gefrorene kugeln my friend, but it was worth it.
such a difficult language
A very eclectic mix Jim and I like them all. A little PP TLC in the first and a great subject for the second, I've always been fascinated by statues.
I like the angle on the bridge image and the single red line drifting off into the fog and the bird picture is great, closer and closer, a bit more, nailed it, Mr. DeMille is impressed

This set gives us a little bit of everything.

Love the selective colour - it really works in those shots.
Love the raven and the mountains in the backgroud.
All are beautifully composed photographs.

Now the second shot ... I find that to be a stunning photograph. Great composition , great exposure, great contrast and great definition of details - lines, shapes, squares. I could go on and on.

That one is by far my favorite.

Really good work Jim both with the camera and narration.

Hey there Jim, welcome home! You sound like my Saturday night went...150 shots and a hand full of keepers...bummer! Any way the ones I have seen so far are great and these four are no exception! From the Hotel sign to the statue, (does have get detail by the way) then your bridge shot is spectacular and the Black bird shot with the awesome background. I like your perspective and take on them all.

A cracking set Jim! I've been waiting for these! Love the selective coloring you've done, and the birdy shot is amazing, what glorious scenery - he was quite the model too! The fog on the bridge is a great touch as well. But I'll bet you have at least another 3500 such keepers ;-) Way too modest.

Thanks, Mike. I'm a Tucson rat, but I didn't feel cold up there at all. Too much adrenaline from the gorgeous views!!

Thanks, Duane. More coming up tomorrow. I should have a couple days worth of church shots!
