I like this. I think its an excellent concept, the train, the birds scavenging, the strong lines and colours. View in the larger size on flickr to fully appreciate the detail, nice job

Love the treatment you gave this one. Really nice.

That photo would be equally good without the post production in my opinion.

Great work.

@Beach Appreciate the comments. Its nice to hear what your looking for as your such a master of scenic/landscape type photography.

@kgb Thanks!

@storfman Certainly could have posted the original as I liked that version equally as well. Perhaps I'll take another look at it and post it in the future.

@Garen Truth be told I never used to do much post work at all. Its been fun to try. I learn mostly just by fiddling. Its really a process of hit and miss. Although I haven't been good at it myself I would recommend somehow making notes of what your doing so that if you ever want that look again you can replicate it.

@angeleyes Well the photo itself in taken in in the rail yards just north of city center here where I live. I was mostly thereto see what kind of pics I could capture of the rail cars. Then I found this flock of pigeons and figured if I got close enough I could fire of a couple frames and something would work out.

As for processing as noted above I am notably terrible at documenting how I process my photos. I use PSE6 (photoshop elements 6). I generally use guided editing to adjust colour and hue etc if requred. I believe this scene is also cropped. To give the "look" I gave it I believe the treatment is called cutout. Its been a favorite of mine lately.

Hope thats what your after.

@dvetter Appreciate it. Thanks.
