Default O Christmas tree...

Like a lot of you I am sure, I was getting shots of our Christmas tree this weekend, and here's a couple of the best...

Hope you like them, and Merry Christmas to everyone here on DPS! I have really learned a lot hanging out here this year!

I love the last picture of the Christmas tree. How did you take it?

Thanks everyone!! I really had fun with the last shot in the set. As Ella said its looks cool with the landscape lights on the trees in the snow, so I wanted to make sure to expose the outside, so instead of a HDR technique, I just used bulb mode as my shutter setting, and left the tree lights OFF to start. I opened the shutter and let it expose the outside for 10 seconds or so and then just quick turned the Christmas tree lights on and off, and then shut the shutter...After a couple of practice shots I waited for a car to start coming down the street and timed it to get the red and white light trails too...

Thanks again for the comments,
Garen

Here's one more I did when I got bored with the regular shot

Great shots, and neat idea with exposing the outisde first. Also I really like the creative light trails in the final pic. Great work
