Post They gave thier lives but aren't forgotten

This is a Moslem Cemetery in Horsell Common; it was built in 1914 for the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in service for Great Britain during the Great War. The graves have been moved but the walls remain as a reminder of their sacrifice. It has fallen into disrepair over the years, however the Horsell Common Preservation Society want to raise funds to restore this historic relic back to its former glory.

Well captured Anthony, esp. the selective colour shot. I wish all those involved in the restoration project well. It's criminal to let monuments of this nature decay. Thank you so much for sharing this. PAUL

I like your pictures Anthony, the b/w treatment works well, and I hope you raise the funds to restore this grade 2 listed building
Ironically it was on Horsell Common, the Martians first landed in HG Wells book, War of the Worlds

Love these images. I have to agree with Paul, it is horrible that we let these things decay. Would love to see some shots after the restoration. TFS.
