Wow, Bob! What a difference a day makes. 4 splendid shots, each for a different reason. Thanks for the B&A! My fave is the last one..great contrast, DOF, and exposure...3 very difficult elements to align with the bright snow in the shot. Well done!

you've taken the words out of my mouth - what a difference a day makes.
We are in the middle of summer here and it has been hot the last couple of days, so love these icy shots.

Glad our cold wintery weather could be of service to you. It's nice to hear someone not "bitch" about it for once!

I, too, like the fourth one. A very nice image under difficult light. But what is it? Is it a nest for a very acrobatic bird? It looks like the very epitome of a cartoon hornet's nest, can it be that?

I love the second one as well. Well lit and (importantly for snow) well white balanced.

Thanks for sharing.

A hornets nest it is. As for the "snowy shots I have to learn to shoot in the snow or stay indoors and that would suck.

Nice job, Bob! I like these Before and Afters. My favorite is also the last one. I like the white background to set off the golds and browns.

Thank you, I'm just glad my wife spotted the hornets nest in the first place. I was trying to get a good shot of the birds nest just under it(out of the frame), to no avail. It's amazing what you find in the trees when the leaves fall.
