Default National Zoo and The Wetland

It was a fun and satisfying weekend. A friend asked me to teach him how to use a DSLR. He needed a crash course for his work. So I decided to take him to the National Zoo, and later the next day to the wetland. It was also the perfect opportunity to test my new lens. Here's some random shots from Saturday and Sunday.

My friend, standing on the edge, with the sunset's reflection.
A friend in the sun's reflection

This one was shot through the wire cage.
Well behaved

He has such a beautiful but sad eyes.
Right to remain silence

Luckily these things only look sharp.
Sharp as a needle

Great set Sparda... the first one is wonderful with your friend's silhouette and the sunset.
in #3... so much behind those eyes. Nice capture on that one.

Great pictures Sparda. I might have missed it in a previous post but, what sort of new lens? Love the hairdo on the little fellow behind the bars.

..the first is really breathtaking..lovely silhouette and reflection..and composition..and color..almost all of the elements are there..really pleasing to the eye..this is now my official favorite (aside from your ‘Infinity’..i do love that one..haha..)

..the two in the middle are undeniable proof that you really have a penchant for monkeys..and a soft heart for them too..haha..yes, the eyes are kinda sad..

Thanks Christo. That would be great. It more fun to go out shooting with a friend that alone.

This is now your fav? Mmm... I have to get a lovely silhouette of a leaf, with reflection of the sunset.
LOL Maybe it is time to admit that it's true... Of all the animal in the zoo, I choose monkeys for my 1st post... I didn't see that coming...

very nice shots....I love the last one...
The monkey with the hairstyle, he is adorable....the other looks a little chunky.
Monkeys always look so sad to me....nicely done.
