Nice shots. Did he stay still for the set or are they of different birds.

This Chickadees are fast and hop from one place to the other, you just have to be ready and wait for them, they don't stay and pose for you, so I have to be fast in tracking them. Thanks

Love the pictures, what was the background? On or off camera flash? what was your shutter and apeture? Great focus on fast moving subjects.

tott7000,

Av - f/8, Tv - 1/1500, on Canon 580 EXII flash mounted on camera with a beamer attach on flash, flash power set to +1/2, all the shots were underexposed by a good 4 stops, the flash took over the lighting on the subjects and the background are branches and the sky.

Great Set! I've never thought much about flash photography for birding, but I was reading an article on it just this afternoon and now seeing your picture, I'll have to give it a try.
Great set! Crystal Clear and nicely composed.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.
