Default Covered In Ice

Part of the aftermath of the huge storm that swept across the entire country this past week.
This resturant always gets hit pretty hard, as does the strip of road next to it. But I've never seen this much ice.

Hi there,
these are beautiful images, especially the third one. It looks like some amazing piece of artwork. I am so glad I don't live there, but I am sure it makes for some really interesting images like yours. Thank you for sharing them.
David.

Thanks Hayward . We had 2 days of 40 mph winds with 60 mph gusts, and single digit wind chills, and the lake rose 6 feet. It was quite amazing! It is already melting in the 40 degree temps we had yesterday.

Thank you David. I agree they do resemble some artistic sculptures.
As for living here....I'll take cold and snow and ice over earthquakes, tornados, land slides and raging fires any day. I love it!

Oh my word, amazing photos! The restaurant shot is unbelievable. Hope you guys are all keeping warm. I've been over in Monterey, CA for the past week - my flight out of Monterey yesterday was canceled "due to rain". Not sure how they'd cope if they ever experienced a real east coast winter storm.

Amazing! I've never seen such windblown ice like that. Great photos -- thanks for sharing them.

Fantastic photos..we got hit last year with an ice storm but not as bad as this one...even though there not fun to experience they do make for some wonderful artwork photos.
