Default Bored in South Korea

Hello DPS family! Well I'm Bored, I've had a touch of food poison and so I don't feel like getting outside yet. But I wanted to see how my 200mm F/2.8L series lens would perform inside with the 1.4 extender and the 2.0 extender.
I was pleased with the results.

Thai Marionette (My wife loves these Thai Marionettes.) This one was taken using my 24 - 105 mm f/4.0 L lens.

Here is the same Doll at 200mm, tripod and onbd flash.

At 200mm + 1.4 extender II, Auto focus is smooth quick.

At 200mm + 2.0 extender II, Auto focused just slightly slower, but still smooth and quick.

Ok, I know, not my usual Macro's, but I plan on taking this lens and the extenders with me on my trip to Thailand next week to see how it does on birds and wild life, so this is just a mini review on a really well built and versatile lens. I also ordered a close up lens for it as I'm interested in seeing how it does with Macro work as well. It's also compatible with Canons 12 and 25mm extension tubes, which increase's the Magnification.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a Blessed Day!
Michael.

Thanks, Michael -- I love all the wonderful things I learn on DPS. What a great illustration of what the lens and the extenders can do, and I love the marionette and your compositions. Hope you're feeling better soon -- food poisoning is not fun.
