Default Manchester UK: Modern Building with Reflection

Had a walk around Manchester city centre trying some different subjects for a change. Looked for angles, reflections, light etc. Trying to get a little more adventurous. When you do this you begin to realise how infinite the opportunities are for captures. Just had my little Samsung P&S.

You have captured just about everything in that shot - angles, shapes, reflection, warm sky, lines. It has it all.

Great photograph!

When we let go of what we are, we become what we might be.

Oooh nice capture, I like the reflections and colors a lot mate. I have to say I like your outlook regarding the different compositions, angles and setting to achieve different results from the norm. This is a really nice image and I am looking forward to seeing you put this sort into practice tomorrow on much older buildings...
See you tomorrow mate.
David.

P.S Nicely put Beach, your such a clever person...

Thats a nice shot Paul and nice change, it normally what i shoot the most. if you allow me to get a little picky here then i would say shoudl have shot it from slightly further left, so you could have got the refletcion as deep as the actual potion of the building coming out. Not sure but i'm uessing you might be able to do it stil in photoshop by skewing the image a little or passing it through lens correction filter which in effect does the same thing but with more options to control. may be you just ignore me because i've been doing some read up and trying to follow the pro suggestions, started taking 2 3 shots , see how it looks on the camera and take one more what i feel looks best which stays.

I didn't catch the reflection at first but then saw it and it does take the shot to another level ( I saw the imposing column on the left first)......sometimes people just have to stay in front of the shot a little longer to "hear" and "see" it.
