I've never done that one, Patrick, but I'll bet it's spectacular.

Make sure they're good and new. You might wear them out after 2,000 miles!

I'll take a hot tub and a glass of wine over a 2,000 mile hike in winter just about every time!

Around 30 degrees or so. Brisk and refreshing, what my Canadian friends would call balmy...

Really nice shot Mike! I have friends who have hiked that trail. I can't imagine hiking the whole thing. Must be quite and adventure.
Thanks for sharing this

Mike
Nope, I was set out for Gatlinburg, TN, so I got back in my warm car and used some horsepower to get me there.

We casually toss out from Georgia to Maine, but not stopping to think about how far that really is! This is at the Tenn-NC border so there's got to be about 100 miles just to get to this point.

C'mon up, Jennie! We'll go look for some snow. we'd have to travel a little farther North, because where I live, we hardly ever see it, so I'm just about as wide-eyed as you are when I see it.

Just a little taste at the higher elevations in Tennessee, but I'm sure Vermont and Maine would certainly make up for that.

My niece has actually wallked the entire route, about 2100 miles.
