Default Homemade Bokeh Filter

I had a go with a homemade star bokeh filter. I'm using it on a kit 18-55m lens, so the results aren't as good as what you'd get with a better lens, but it's still good fun.

I love this time of year. People all over the place put up all these pretty lights just for photographers to make bokeh shots! Bless 'em.

Well, you've got your filter and it obviously works nicely. Get someone/thing in the foreground and start shooting! Enjoy, but don't forget to come back and share the results.

I think these are really cool. If you don't mind, can you tell us how you did it? Thanks

Look at the picture in my last post, that is most of the explanation! I had to zoom in fully for the effect to work, and I used a 1/6s exposure, f/5.6 (the minimum my lens will go to at full zoom), ISO 1600.
