Arrow Edmonton's first frost bite this winter

This is how Edmonton looked like during and after the
cold storm this weekend, it snowed for 2 days continuously
(23cm what the paperes reported) and the temperature fell
as low as -28˚ C.
It looked like i was on a North Pole expedition when i set out to work,
the bus was either skidding or struggling to get out of the snow.
Snow was filling the roads faster than it was being cleaned
making the effort of city workers worthless, poor guys. I could
see them working all day long. At the same time when the snow
fall subsided the entire city looked like a cake to me :-D
i went on a walk with my camera, after 20 minutes i could not
stand the temperature, my fingers were frozen inside my thick glouse
and my face was numb i was looking for a refuge
because i could not walk back home, luckily
i was on the bus route and i took a bus back to my place.
By then my fully charged battery also died because of the cold.
That's my first experience of true winter.

Wow that looks so cold I've never been in snow before... so I can only imagine what it must have felt like.
I really like the third shot... beautiful colors and the snow is gorgeous.

And I've been complaining about the "cold" weather here in Arizona this week! What a wonderful set -- really communicates COLD! The third is my favorite -- it's just beautiful.

Thanks for posting these! I love the snow SO much!
I lived in Northern Newfoundland for the first half of my life. I LOVE the snow. I live in a much warmer climate now and snow isn't a common occurrence. I miss it.
It may be cold, but in my opinion, winter (when there is snow) is the most beautiful season.

That 3rd shot feels brutally cold.....You need to go back home.....an Indian native should not be subjected to Canadian winters!.....When hear that a Canadian front is coming through......we know we are in for a doozy of really cold miserable temps.

That's good to know Lauren, not many people like snow here because it does not allow people go out much and it messes up the whole place. i like it so far having seen snow for such a long time for the first time. Last year i'd seen it only for couple of days and it was nothing compared to what i saw here.
