Colorful Tremors

Tried out a new concept, with mixed results. This photo is a black gelatine, covered in a food coloring/cream mix, and shot with a gun. This was the only usable shot out of 8 attempts.

1 for 8 on something like this is an average that I'd be proud of. Well done, and beautiful.

Just curious: What kind of gun?

Just a pellet gun. My wife won't let me shoot anything bigger in the basement

You play a little different, don't you rt. Your wife only allows you to shot a pellet gun in the basement? that's a bit ruff. Great picture by the way, How do you come up with such ideas?

A lot of my ideas kind of build off on another. This idea came from two photos I've done in the past, one of which was food coloring on a popping balloon and the other was from the "bullet through gelatin" shot I did last week. I combined the two concepts, with very mixed results. Gelatine reacts differently every time due to the inconsistencies of where it is shot and how it was cut, so consistant results are impossible to get. In the end, I kind of gave up.

My friends also give me lots of ideas...in fact, I shot some snowballs last night at one of their suggestions (photos coming soon)

Thumbs up!
