Arrow Weekend in Calgary - V - Interesting Structures in the City

As I was strolling around the city with my camera
I found some very interesting structures apart from
shiny glass buildings. There are quite a few of them instead
of statues like in some of the cities.

I could not figure what this is????

I just admire the artist's work here

These made me laugh...=))

Looks like you've got some great public art there in Calgary. Nice shots of it you've taken too. I particularly like the idea and the shot of the brick couch! TFS.

Great images from Calgary.. the 1st image is of the "Steel Trees" a metal sculpture that helps with dispersing the wind as it blasts between the buildings around the pedestrian mall. The brick couch is great... nicely done.

Thanks for explaining about the sculptures in teh first shot, it does make sense now, i remember how narrow the street is on the 8th Ave and tall buidings on both sides, it can create a tunnel there. Very well thought.
