Default What do you shoot when it is raining cats and dogs?

If it were really raining cats and dogs, I'd open a pet shop!......every once in a while when the rain would let up, I would quickly step out in the front yard to shoot a few frames

Here is the top of my neighbor's house

water house

If you turn your screen upside down, you can see very clearly the cargo trailer parked out front of my neighbor's house

Not the best of shots but it was a web down in my bush in front of my house....the concave nature of the web created all sorts of problems for depth of field...you had to settle for parts of the droplets to be in focus and render the others to out of focus and spectral highlights......I am not wowed by this effort at all but it is what it is!

DSC_7720

Not all that sharp as far as the reflection goes but I was more interested in the overall composition of the branches against the dull background.....again, not a wowee shot but you can't have those every day!

Oh boredom, the mother of all creative adventures I think. I like your photos the first two in particular, you could call it,"where I live in a drop of water" you could do a whole series about the house.

Rain, Rain Go Away. It's raining here in South Korea as well today. Things here are getting drab and brown.
I like your shots Patrick! I had to look carefully at the 1st one to see the house.
the last one is interesting as well. The Spiderweb with the rain on it is cool too.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

On the contrary, I think these are real wowee shots Patrick! Took me a couple of seconds to "see" your neighbor's roof! Great captures.

Hi Patrick! cool reflections in your droplets! your neighbor's house and the trailer are really captrured beautifully..you may not consider the last one as wowee but i do..love the almost silhouette contast of the branches against the dull background and the reflection of intricate branches is really mezmerizing..tnx for sharing..

That's very cool. I've been trying to shoot the blizzard from the inside of my hotel room in Chicagoland!

Well you got two out of four 'wowee' shots, thats not too bad!
The first is...well, simply brilliant. An absolutely fantastic photo, I can't give it enough praise! Very well done!
