Wonderful World

This great song by Thiele and Weiss and made popular by Louis Armstrong is now a children's book. It's one of Soleil's favorites to read and sing through. In this next week I'd like to share a few photos from my recent trip to the Redwood Forest near Santa Cruz, California. These photos do a pretty good job of illustrating the opening lines of the song:

I see trees of green....

I See Trees of Green

Red roses, too...

Red Roses, too.

I see them bloom for me and you

I watched them Bloom

...and I think to myself, what a wonderful world!

What a Wonderful World

My, my, my!!! Stunning art, Linda. I like the way you've fit all of these together with the words of the song. I love, love, love your rose. I've seen countless rose pictures here and posted a few myself, but the post and the fenceline transforms your image into fine art. Gorgeous fruit and blooms. Finished with one of the most wonderful things in the world...a grandchild, and photographed beautifully to boot!

Very cre8tive Linda, the photos are great and fit the song so well. When you're completed with the whole song, you should put together a slide show with the music for us to enjoy. TFS

Lindy, I used to live in San Jose when I was 13 and 14 and often fished off the pier at Santa Cruz. I remember my uncle taking us to those Redwoods......they were so amazingly tall...beautiful place!

Now that song is stuck in my head, thanks a LOT! LOL!

What a gorgeous series, Linda. It sure does illustrate the words beautifully.
