Default After A Long Day...

Of Christmas shopping and Grocery Shopping... we were heading home. We usually drive past the Makapuu Area to get back home to Kaneohe... but we were all turned around because of a major accident. They closed off the road so we had to go the long way home. After harumphing and grumbling I noticed the sun was setting. So we stopped and all got out to see this beautiful sight

Through the Weeds

Then this father and daughter came paddling out "Hoe He'e Nalu also known as Stand Up Paddle Surfing" and This is what I saw
Hoe He'e Nalu

Then as we were leaving... this boat was getting ready to be done for the day:
Going Home for the Day

And here's my last one... a little B&W treatment:
Sunset in Black and White

Now I really know that things definately happen for a reason... if I had gone home the same way I always do... I would have missed this beautiful sunset.

Thanks for looking

Very Nice Set! I really like the 1st two best, That Paddle Board with the Father and Daughter is just Splended! The 1st one is really nicely composed. Beautiful Sunset.

What a beautiful sunset Nikki .. I LOVE the colors, like a golden bronze sky and lemon sun, topped off by those great clouds. The Dad and Daughter standing on that little surfboard thing is wonderful, and I really like the Boat shot heading back to the dock... great subject placement in the compositions.

Nice set, TFS w/us

Vin

OH, and I'm sure it's ok to bump with no responses, I know I would do it, I hate hunting to ten pages because someone posts in the morning and I get home from work at 6pm..it kinda sucks.

yep, slowing down, going a different way, and taking time out certainly has it's rewards. These are great pics. I particularly like the "stand up paddle surfing" Must have been great for them too to be out enjoying the sunset. TFS
