Default Marzipan Snowmen (and Santa)

We never get snow here so we have to make do with cake decorations.

I wouldn't know whether to photograph it or eat it.

That's a simple problem. Quick snap, then eat.

Great DoF James, thanks for posting.

I would love to get some snow, Especially at Christmas. If you live somewhere were it snows properly once every five years or so when it does happen its lots of fun.

Simple. Make the figures using the "one for the model, one for me" principle. By the end of it you will have eaten so much marzipan you won't want to eat the figues and will have plenty of time to photograph.

Thats a strange comment, I would expect to see great DoF when i had done my best to entend DoF in diffuclt circustances, maybe a landscape with close foreground detail or a macro shot. I presume you really mean "nice background blur".
