Default A day on the mountains...The Bavarian Alps, Baby!!

...so I spent the day on the Bavarian Alps...a very temperate day, and suitable for taking in the glorious splendor only the Bavarian Alps can offer! As a bonus, I was treated to some spectacular hang-gliding and para-sailing!! I took over 500 pics on the mountain today, so here are only a few. I'm going to process the rest and put them in my website gallery, and provide a link to it later in the thread. Thanks so much for looking. These pics do not even come close to capturing the majesty I witnessed today! However, I'm not at all happy with these...too many clouds to get the shots I wanted...(sigh)

...this poor guy....he tried incessantly to get airborn...twas not meant to be as his short-lived flight came to an abrupt halt...and a faceful of snow.

Update: There are a few more in my reply below!

simply wonderful. great shots. something like that kinda humbles the soul. I know sometimes pictures just can't capture the vastness of a view like this but you did pretty darn good. look forward to seeing more.

Great shots mate, I especially like #1 and #5. I think the clouds suit #1 perfectly, but I can understand your frustration with clouds - it seems to be overcast here whenever I get some free time to take some shots!
Looking forward to seeing some more
