Talking Farmers with a little too much time...NASCAR fans may want to look away!

If you are a central Ohio farmer, you already know what a bountiful crops of corn we had this year. For those that only seen pictures of a combine...here is an example of what central Ohio farmers are looking at:

"Where am I going to put it!"

That was at a local Co-op. It is the overflow pile that won't fit in the silos...last year it was half that size.

There is so much corn that the silos are not accepting any more corn until the trains can get some of it shipped out. So what's a farmer to do? How about NASCAR Gravity Wagon racing?

And here's Kyle's

I had been trying to get a couple of snapshots of these wagons for a few years now, I finally had my camera and was at the right place this year.

Have a great day!

Kyle's in the lead? Must be going clockwise on a road course.

Cool photos and captions.

I especially like the scale/perspective in the first one - that big truck doesn't look so big there.

, Thanks, I want to get on top of athe pile and get a shot looking down, but I don't think that either I or the co-op would like it...I might go ask next week.

How funny! these are great shots! It's no wonder you've been trying to get these shots for a few years! They really take their Nascar seriously back there don't they!
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

That's an amazing stockpile dwarfing the truck, and the wagons are too funny.

Great colours and light too. TFS.

Thanks very much...I found out more about the owners today at Wal-Mart amazingly enough.

I went to have them printed and the lady behind the counter said "Oh yes, that's the Lowes Brothers, they live up the road from me. In the late spring and summer they do truck pulls and stuff like that."
