Talking Welcome to Walton

So im thinking what can i do on a saturday at the beginning of December on a cold but clear day.... i know... lets go to the seaside....

Sadly this town is really very run down (as much of the old English resorts are) and looks moreso in the winter.

Im completely out of my comfort zone taking photos of landscape like this but hope i gave it a fair shot!! Always up for learning so all comments (positive and constructive criticism!) welcome.

Hope you enjoy

You made the best out of the day BEGM. This is a good set reflecting the mood. For me it's No 2. The lines and perspective and the way I am drawn to see a little further round the corner than what is tauntingly visible. Well done here. PAUL

Great set Beg! I'm with Paul's comments. You were brave going up there in the weather we've been having!

Fun set. I love the first one, an ice cream stand closed for the winter -- and especially the way the bottom half of the "S" in the sign disappears, so that it says "Ice Cream, Cold Here!" The selective coloring works really well on that one. Also like the interesting repetition in the 2nd and 3rd. I love the seagull, but I might have cropped off a little of the left side to leave more negative space for him to look into, and bring the composition a little more into the "thirds" rule. Thanks for sharing these; I'm spending this cold day inside so I admire your courage to get out into it!
