Default Early Morning Beauty

So this is my first picture on this forum. I am just now getting into photography. I have a Nikon D60 with the lens kit. Hopefully I can learn from everyone here. I would appreciate any critiques or advice. I took the photo over thanksgiving on Galveston Bay near Kemah, Texas.

Thank you very much. I"m glad you like it. Do you mind if I ask what you mean by interesting composition? I'm sorry for my ignorance.

No apologies needed here! I think there's a composition section of the forum where you'll learn a lot more than from me, and there are some great books out there too, like The Photographer's Eye by Michael Freeman. I guess what I mean by "interesting" is something that keeps me looking and looking at the photo. In that first one (the only one that was up when I first looked at your post), it was the right angle formed by the pier in the lower left corner.

I'm so glad you posted the others -- I absolutely love the fourth one. It is just gorgeous, with that path of shining still water with sky and mast reflections. You have a good eye for beauty!
