Yesterday my girls and I had a school field trip to San Fransisco to see the King Tut display at the DeYoung Museum. Since we homeschool through a charter school, our field trips are drive yourself type of things. So with that in mind we knew we could spend the day in the city. I was able to convince my Mom and her best friend Sharon to go with us. It was a beautiful day in the city. There was no photography allowed during the King Tut tour but we did manage to find plenty of other things to photograph.
Right outside of the museum there is a man made pond area and to my great surprise was a white egret that was feasting on the minnows in the pond. I was able to get a couple of great shots. I was so proud of myself! ![]() I loved his reflection in the still water...He was stalking his prey ![]() A very popular spot to visit in San Fransisco...Yummy ![]() A pretty flower begging to be photographed outside the Botanical Gardens ![]() We can not wait to go back...checking our calendars as I type...

These are all wonderful Michele! You really nailed that Egret with the fish! and the reflection in the 2nd is amazingly clear! I remember the sign from my last trip (Years ago) to San Fran.
Thanks for sharing these Michael.

Great shots, I love the first two of the egrets, though I feel for the unlucky minnow

Thank you all very much! I have been wanting a shot like the first one for quite a while now. It is a hard shot to get and to be honest if it wasn't for my 6 fps I may not have. Thanks for stopping by, glad you enjoyed them!

Hi there ! I love your shot of the egret !! Its really fantastic, you did a great job capturing that. You know how much I love reflections, we should have walked up to Ghiradelli, but I don't think I had another walk left in me. Your pink flower turned out wonderful too. I had a great day, so glad we all went. Now I want to go right back to see all the places we saw when we were leaving, Thank goodness for GPS. I think we need a Christmas vacation road trip.
