Default Boston sunshine

Thought I'd post a pic today as I may not get a chance to upload much for a wee while - tomorrow I head out west to Monterey for a week for a combined conference/committee meeting/couple of days vacation at the end.

We're having an abnormally warm day today in Boston (about 65 degrees at the minute, although typical of New England, the hour before "65 & sunny" involved torrential rain, minimal visibility on the highway, and then high winds) so I'm feeling inspired to remember sunny fall days. I took this pic only about 6 weeks ago I think - although I took it from down by the river itself, this is what I'm lucky enough to look out onto from my office window:

The Boston skyline across the Charles River

Very nice photo. Good balance (may be little bit crop from left side) and good angle.

Nice work sox We have the same down here but maybe a little snow by Sat.
You have a great view and you have done a great job of presenting it......Can you see across the Charles in a good snowstorm?

Thanks ty - usually the skyline is a whiteout when we have a good storm! I've been thinking about trying to capture the view) or lack thereof) in different seasons/weather conditions for fun comparisons! It can look quite dramatic and moody even just with some great clouds overhead, so it might be fun to see it in different conditions.

Yes Jennie, I truly do look out onto this view - I'm on the 8th floor & look out directly towards the Prudential Center which is the left of the 2 tallest buildings. There are some buildings in between ours and the river, but I'm so high up that I still get the riverview! It's prime real estate for sure. I'd keep this job just for the view, even if I wasn't very happy here!

Wonderful view, Nicky! My office is windowless. Do you need a personal assistant? I'll bring you your coffee and I can be had cheaply...

Wow! It makes me wonder what the photographic opportunities abound in such a city!
