Default A couple in sepia

After the party...

Cafe culture

I took the first whilst sporting a very large hangover after an evening with friends. I took the second last night and was trying to create that French cafe atmosphere

Any feedback would be great, thanks !!

Can't believe you had a party and didn't tell us! Nice shots though, especially with a hangover for the first one! Love the composition and perspectives you've used, and especially the sepia - I'm starting to be swayed to do some sepia conversions myself after seeing everyone's great work here. I just never really considered it for my own stuff in the past.

Looks like you had a great party! Like the sepia treatment.

Thanks folks. I think sepia can add so much atmosphere to a pic SoxAddict. In my experience, like b&w, it can also make a bad picture better, maybe thats why I love using it

I'm really happy with the first considering I felt like death when I took it.

That many empty bottles are not a regular sight in my house by the way

Hehe! We all deserve to have so many empties around every so often! Hope you enjoyed the party!

I agree with you on how the conversion to B&W can make a not so great pic an awful lot better. I've been converting many more of my photos to B&W recently, and it's saved a lot for me that were really missing something in colour - like those taken in hazy light conditions etc. I did my first sepia conversion over the w/e too - then randomly there has been a run of DPS posts here of sepia conversions, so it's spurring me on even more!

The party was great, although I think the shiraz was out of date or something (yeah an excuse I'm sticking to!)

I'm going through a sepia phase at the moment, I really enjoy learning what works and what doesn't in sepia, it adds another dimension I think.

I think there are a lot of very out of date bottles of Shiraz around at this time of year.....
