Very Poignant shot! It's a shame to see people like this, with little or no hope. We have to ask ourselves "What would Jesus do" in these cases. I see so many cases in Thailand, Many are just grifters, but many are truly in dire straights.
Thanks for sharing this Michael.

Thank you, pax, for your moving photo and compassionate words. A good reminder of our blessings and our opportunities to share them with others, especially this time of year.

Very provocative shot. Should be in a newspaper. Great photo-journalistic opportunity with a great message.

The hard life is doubly emphasized by sitting on the hard rocks. This is the kind of shot that makes one think. Well done.

That's a very moving photograph, and extremely well captured. I agree, it's easy for us all to get caught up in our own world. Seeing or hearing about situations like you've caught on camera here are "good" to help us recalibrate though, and help us realise that in the grand scheme of things, life isn't too bad for us really. I think the putting-the-blinkers-on mentality isn't because we're hardened or uncaring, but in many cases it's simply a consequence of not knowing how to deal with such cases of extreme hardship when we see it.

Thank you all for your comments.
![]() I've actually been thinking of doing an assignment highlighting the plight of those in need,The homeless and the Aged and approaching a shopping center to see if they'd let me host it and maybe do a sort of collection. Not sure it'll work and besides my confidence in taking proper photo's isn't at the right level yet..But hey maybe i should just go for it.. Again thanks for taking the time to look and to respond.. Peace and Light.. |
