Smile Joy in a box

I just wanted to share this.

Just when I thought that with all the modern and electronic toys today kids will not appreciate the simple things that we have enjoyed back when we were kids, through this photo I took I realized that a simple box can still bring so much joy to a little kid as it has for generations(?)

This is my little 3 year old Izzy having a blast in a box with her puppy Duchess

What a lovely adorable setting, to me it portrays the trust little duchess has for Izzy.
I love her smile & eyes, very pretty. Great shot I hope you are printing this as a keeper?

Wow She so cute...It is really beautiful and well done in B/W..and what you have said is absolutely true....Certain things will never change....like the joy in children's face, when they get something like this to play with....no matter what modern toys they have.....Maybe you shuld print and frame this shot...Thank you for sharing....

Excellent B & W photo. I think there is a sense of security when surrounded by the box sides (unless the child is claustrophobic). But there is also a sense of playfulness as seen in this child's face. Beautiful capture.

Wonderful capture...What is it about boxes and kids The box usually trumps the toy that came in ti.

Thank you everyone!!!

tycooder, you are so right about the box. I am convinced that it boils down to a child's limitless imagination.

Thomas.H1, funny that you mentioned security. It was like her little hide-away with her puppy. So true!

vimalkv, I will take your wonderful advice to frame it. I bet her grandma will love this as a gift too. After all, the box and all it contained came from her with goodies for the kids. hahah ironic that she'll see that after all that she has boxed and sent over to us from abroad, the box tops everything!

ukglyn, Izzy and Duchess are practically best friends. Izzy greets her "good morning" the minutes she wakes and the puppy responds! She greets her 1st and more than she greets me! What you sensed about the puppy's trust in Izzy is very true too! No one in around the house can ever put duchess in a box or at least clam her like Izzy.
