Default Humble and proud

Family in front of a typical bamboo cane house in Manabi, Ecuador.
Poor living conditions place the population at high risk for contracting Chagas and other diseases. However, children smile and parents provide what they can to them.

Humble and proud

Your photo is so much more than a simple, candid shot of a family. You can see the love they have for one another and parents wanting to give their children a good life. I'm so glad you posted this photo.

Great shot Mario! We have similar situations in Thailand, Our worker in the orchard is a lovely lady, she and her husband work very hard and have 4 children as well. They like in a wooden hut that's in worse shape than the one you've shown here. We are in the process of seeing what we can do to improve their living conditions, but like the people in your picture, they are proud and the children are so happy. Makes you wonder if they know something we don't.
Thanks for sharing this
Michael.

Thank you Michael. I've been lucky to visit Thailand and what struck me the most was the similarities on how people in the rural area live and deal with their situation.
