Thumbs up Early Christmas Present for meee!!! From me..

So I have a wedding to shoot coming up and I knew that I had to do something about my "lack of flash" situation so I finally splurged a little and bought a Canon Speedlight 430EX ii.. I expected to not see it for a week or so but it came today!
I havent done a whole lot of flash photography yet, and I am learning as much as possible from other people but let me tell you how much in love with this thing I am already!
It is insane what you can do with it if you know how I Refuse to use auto mode as you never learn that way, so I played with it in manual for a little while and this is just one picture that came of it.. I am very pleased so far and LOOK OUT when I actually get the hang of it.

PS This is my (29 weeks) pregnant wife who always makes a perfect model

Ash

Oh, she is gorgeous! Love the pose with the cat (although he looks a bit peeved...), and congrats on new (impending) arrival of your child. Luckily you got a flash aye... its going to come in handy very soon LOL.

TFS such a great shot.

Lovely portrait of your lovely wife. But kitty definitely doesn't look too impressed. I have a 430 too, & I agree it has amazing potential. Congrats on the baby news too!

Great picture! I love how the colors of your Christmas ornaments even go with your wife's skin tone, hair and clothing. She's beautiful! Congratulations on the baby to come...
