...so, in the spirit of the Preacher's wonderful journey, I thought I'd take you along as I make my way back to my birth-country....beautiful Munich, Germany, in the shadows of the Alps!! It's been 35 years since I last breathed that clean, crisp air.
I'm in the preparation phase right now. You'd think with more than 2 million miles under my belt, I'd be a little better packer!! First and foremost, though, I've got all my camera gear! I guess maybe some toothpaste and deodorant, too, if I can fit it in. Let me know if I forgot anything! Headphones to keep out the annoying propaganda of an international flight, power adapter, hat to keep from blinding the Europeans with my shaved head, my new James Bond Quantum of Solace sunglasses (Harris.......Jim..Harris ), Swiss watch to impress the Europeans while not blinding them, passport, International Blackberry, and some good reading material. Oh...and breath mints so as not to offend my hosts when they pick me up! ![]() Clothes. I spared you the detail so I censored my delicates!! uh hmmmm (blush) ![]() My gear!! Can't wait to see the Alps!! ![]() Tally ho!! I'm traveling tomorrow, so next installment may not be until I get to my hotel in 2 days. See you on the other side!!

Oh, this is going to be fun! Thanks for sharing the little details of packing, something I'd never think to take a photo of. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time, and I can hardly wait to see more photos! I wish you a fun adventure and a safe return home.

Have a great trip. I look forward to seeing your photos. Good to see your camera gear is taking priority - are you sure you don't need a few more clothes? - it's going to be cold - (but then I never learnt to pack lightly!)
Have a good trip!
