Default Tip toe through the tulips

I took these photos at Table Cape at Wynyard in Tasmania, Australia (which is on the edge of Bass Straight which runs between Tasmania and the Australian mainland). It was the first time I had ever seen fields of tulips and I was stunned with the startling riot in the rows of colour. Truly a magnificent sight. It was very cold (October) but I had a thick jacket on and I could have stayed for hours trying to capture their magnificence. I didn't want to leave. I haven't touched up the colour at all, this is as it was. Taken with my Canon Power Shot Pro 1, truly a great travel camera.

I hope you enjoy these few photos, and I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for looking.

In this first one you can see a lighthouse in the background.

They have tulip farms in Washington State too, but I have never been to one. It is amazing to see that color stretch on.

Jill these images are absolutely gorgeous. I agree, worth staring at and photographing for hours, despite the cold. Tulips are my favorite flower too. Thanks for brightening up my day!

Jill, I love them all, but my eyes keep going back to the second one, with the rows going in different directions. Very nice!
