Since I seem to be speeding down memory lane these days, let's travel 300 miles south of Route 66 to my favorite town in Southern Arizona, Bisbee. This set features The Shady Dell which is a "fully restored vintage aluminum travel trailer" park. A stay there ensure a return to the 50's. You can enjoy breakfast or lunch at Dot's diner and savor an old fashioned malted or enjoy the Meatloaf Platter Special. Of course, there's music. Each photo below has a song from that era designed to bring you a blast from the past. I'll be posting more photos with my replies. Enjoy your trip down memory lane!
Let's Go to the Hop Teen angst at it best ! The question of the ages American Bandstand Bisbee was founded in 1880 and was an active mining town until the mid-'70's. Wikipedia describes it this way: Old Bisbee is also noted for its architecture, including its Victorian style houses and elegant Art Deco courthouse. Because its plan was laid out before the automobile, Old Bisbee has an almost European feel." These photo were probably taken at the end of 1999-2000 with my trusty $30 P&S, 127 mm film camera.

Lindy these oldie goldies are awesome. It's great to see the old American way. Love the old round caravans (hubby Steve sells caravans some as old as the ones in your shots)

As Always, your posts are entertaining, informative and this one is also nostalgic. The music is vintage as well, I loved seeing Buddy Holly and the Crickets in suits an ties with all the ball gowns and Bouffant Hair do's in the background. What a Hoot!!!
Thanks for sharing these Michael.

What a fun way to start my morning! Linda, the combination of these wonderful photos and the music videos is perfect -- the apex of nostalgia for sure. True golden oldies, all of them. And I love the way the rounded corners add to the vintage look. I'm so glad you're sharing your trip down memory lane!

Coming home from school and watching Dick Clark and American Bandstand before the days of color TV. Ahhh, to be a teenager again. I think I'd love Bisbee. Did the diner have the mini jukeboxes at the end of the table???
