rose petal tears thrown on the water.....
I coach a ladies dragon boat team of breast cancer survivors and supporters who are members of Dragons Abreast Australia, part of an international community of dragon boaters who have are survivors of breast cancer.
A lovely tradition of DAA is to go out in the dragon boat and throw petals on the water in remembrance of those who have died. It is a beautiful, emotional and moving ceremony. This morning the sister of one of my closest friends passed away after a long battle with cancer, that has taken her too early in life. I am sending her these petals on the water representing my tears..... Please tell the people you love, that you love them, and cherish every moment of life. One of the last things my friend said to me was "every day is a gift".
