Default I couldn't help but notice that I was checking you out...

...here are some random shots from my lunch the other day at Luke's Sandwich shop. Eating alone outside (we can still do that here in Tucson!) allows you to see things you might not ordinarily take notice of. So, I took the liberty of snapping a few b/w to try and hone my artsy side!! I wish I had the nerve to ask this elderly gentleman if I could take his pic. He had a tattered fedora and face fit for b/w. I'm kicking myself for not asking....maybe next time! Paul and Diz's b/w's have got it going on, so I'm trying to kick it up a notch...still not even close, though!

Thanks for looking!

Maybe dont ask??? Just set your camera on the table and be sneaky about taking a photo. I've done that a time or two
Oh and by the way, I sure like the two you posted! Nice treatment on both of them

Jim, these are really cool. I like them both. Love the B&W. I wouldnt dream of taking photos while sitting in a cafe here in NZ... am too paranoid that someone will either steal my camera or pack a hissy fit and complain. Too much PC in the world today.
Thanks for sharing, and yes, your arty side has definately come through

Very cool photos! That first one really grabs me -- I think because of the textures and the diagonal. Thanks for sharing these -- it's been many years since I've been to Luke's!

Love these artsy shots! And they're fab in B&W, Mike & Paul L are going to love them, you just know that. I'm definitely too shy still about asking if I can take pics of people, I guess I'd also try to sneak a shot of someone interesting if I could do so. I guess I need to be more brave sometimes.

Thanks for letting your artsy side show! These are cool shots, the second one I especially like. The bright white of the sign is a nice contrast with the wall. You better watch out, you may start getting known for this stuff.

Oh I love the first one! I love how the RayBan is in focus but the table lines that appear to be right underneath are not. Great DOF and love the B/W.

Both are great b&w shots with good perspective. Love the sharp focus of the main subjects and the dof in the background.

cool raybans =old school=love it.
Funny how these days you feel like you can't even take an innocent photo;
without someone thinking
are you a spy or something worser.I know there's no such word as worser.
Anyway....
back to the photos
