I feel your pain! My Friday was a washout too. But these are fab captures. I love the lines of the trees & how most are so parallel! The 2nd shot is great for its contrast & the rusty signs. And also for the amusement of the signs pointing in the same direction for "fresh" eggs and "sprayers & chemicals"!

I did miss this post Brian or I would have remembered the first image. it's almost simple in the composition, but also with the strong verticle lines of the trees it's complex at the same time. the dark colors of the trunks in the foreground and how they fade to mist as the view moves back is a very cool transition. It reminds me of a watercolor I've seen recently of white Aspen Trees in the dead of winter with the ground covered in snow, the strong verticle lines of the trucks in the painting are very similar to your photo. Good eye to see that !
I like the red lettering and the faded rust on the signs..fences always add a special element and the tree stump and large tree in the background add a really nice tough.. good shot ! I enjoyed both, thanks for sharing them. Vin
