Default Point Pinole Shoreline

MrsWall and I took a short hike through part of Point Pinole today. It sits on San Francisco Bay to the west and San Pablo Bay to the east.

We walked in the mud:

We watched the water:

Couple on Bay

We saw a giant bird:

Dark-Eyed Junco

Then the sun set, and we had to go home:

Sunset 3

We should do this more often!

I love the GIANT bird! lol I was expecting a crane or something... All in the details... My favorites are the bird and the sunset, but they're all very nice! Looks like a fun day.

Lovely series. It looks like you both had a great afternoon. I feel, as an Aussie, that I should be saying something like "That's not a giant bird, this is a giant bird...".

I love the patterns in #1, but that sticky-uppy white thing (lower right) distracts me. Clone Tool job that!

The sunset is absolutely gorgeous. Top shot, that! TFS.

Thanks for sharing your walk with us! Loved the giant bird, what a fun photo -- with a beautiful background too. And the last one is elegant.

Cool shots, Kurt. I love that giant bird. Great eye!! The mud shot's nice too...great symetry there, despite the sticky-uppy white thing...even though it IS obeying the rule of thirds! LOL TFS

I agree, you should do this more often. Very nice set Kurt. I had to chuckle at the giant bird. Great catch.

Thank you, everyone. We did have a swell time. The Bay Area is simply polluted with photo destinations like this.

Thanks. We had a nice time. The detail on the Dark-eyed Junco is pretty soft, but the juxtaposition with the trail marker made this one too good to delete.

Thank you, JustJim. Sticky-uppy white thing gone.

Thanks, Tenzin'sMom. I love sunsets. Too bad work gets in the way of capturing 5/7ths of them.

Heh, Thanks, Jim. Have fun in Munich. We'll expect a full report when you get back...

Thank you, Fred. Sometimes I'm in the right place when God wants a picture taken.
