Arrow Alberta Legislature again, but in HDR

There I was again at Alberta Legislature building last night,
to try out my shiny new tripod.
This was the first time i was shooting with a tripod,
so i was missing the freedom i'd while shooting hand held but it did show me the difference. I shot for about an hour and a half got a few good shots.
Processed one of them through HDR, i'd to work on this one more than i did before,
I don't know how but the HDR image came extremely noisy like a print
from printer that needs a toner replacement.
But worked through it a good result at the end.

Scroll down bit for the image

If you are new to shooting with a tripod, and in case you don't already know, be sure to turn off your lens' vibration reduction when using a tripod. For some reason the VR system gets shaky when the camera is perfectly still.

Additionally, you usually don't need to use high ISO settings with long exposures. I'd go for 100 ISO and a longer exposure setting -- less noise (graininess) that way. However, very long exposures lead to more noise as well, so experiment for a good compromise.

You are having fun with the PP there AC, and making a real art out of it. I love seeing how your work is progressing, and the commentary you add is helping me learn. Even comments like Alphasco made are all useful in the learning process. Good job my freind. PAUL

Nice work, both on the original and on the PPd shot too. Thanks for taking the time to share both shots.

Thanks Jack, the reflection happened automatically when i corrected the perspective by using the edge extension option.which made it look like reflection so did not crop the whole thing.

Not bad at all mate , maybe a touch over-saturated , the earlier comment about image stabiliser (VR) is spot on , if you leave it on it hunts for movement and ends up causing more than you would . Sorry it took a bit to get back here mate , very busy at the moment . All the best.

Lovely images AC, both are beautiful - I especially like the "before" for its perspective and the snowy, footprinted foreground.
