First attempts at panning

I got really lucky that a fellow photographer from my class was shooting at the instant I got this one. I like the blast of light from the tree. It shows the leaves coming up from the road as the car passes and adds another element of movement to the shot. This was the only one I liked out of about 10 attempts; panning takes practice I'm finding!

This is cool! I've never tried it, but if my first attempt gave me anything like this I'd be super pleased. The effect and colors are great.
