Yes, I know that the wires are there......I don't have time to pp right now and quite frankly I would like to get some better shots before I put alot of effort into modifying them.....It is all part of grand experiment of tackling sunsets a different way.

DSC_7112

This is a bit grainy due to iso 800.....I need to tweak the settings some but if I slow the shutter, then I'll have blurred shots when they decide to run...believe me they did not stay and pose for a while...as soon as they heard the shutter click, they got antsy and when they heard multiple clicks, they hightailed it over the hill and to the barn far out of my range and away from the sunlight......is over and back to the car parked on the side of the road.

Wow Patrick, these are very stunning. And grainy or not, I love that last shot of the single horse. Fantastic. TFS.

Wonderful sunset silhouettes Patrick! I agree, the graininess does not at all distract from the beauty of the images.

These are great shots. I love the horses. I imagine it was hard to get those shots. Beautiful.

Very similar to your last post Well beyond sunset....last bands of light except they look a little darker and perhaps were taken a little later, making them a good deal more difficult to capture.
Your experiment with sunsets is clearly pushing the camera and its settings to their limits which is great, except when capturing movement as you mention.
I'm watching closely because I've been doing similar things on a dark beach but not with moving objects, good stuff Patrick, I'm enjoying these threads and am interested how it develops for you

Very artistic concept Patrick, when this technique is perfected, (not that they are bad now) they will make for a great set of prints.

Beautiful shots Patrick! Are you sure you didn't pose those horses?

I like what you have done, expecially with the horses. I can almost hear their hooves hitting the turf.

Thanks Steve, I'll probably be shooting these types of shots through the winter months esp tree silhouettes...they are readily available and don't move.....It is not easy to find horses near the fence on your side of the road up on a hill against the sunset light and close enough to not get spooked so its a crap shoot with them
